Yiannis Taverna - Cathedral City

The food here is traditional Greek cuisine, reminiscent of what your parents might have made at home. Whenever I bring Greek friends along, they often exclaim, “Yes, I remember this!” Real Greeks know that Yianni serves the genuine article! I highly recommend trying the “Meze,” which consists of around 12 different dishes ranging from appetizers to main courses. It’s like a culinary journey through Greece and offers excellent value. I’m a regular visitor and have just shared my review. Here are some photos from my experiences at Yianni’s. Whether you’re looking to dine in, shop, or take out, it’s definitely worth a visit!

This restaurant is absolutely fantastic! During my visit, I took my 80-year-old Greek aunt for dinner, and she loved it. It brought back memories of a restaurant her father used to take her to when she was a little girl. The service is excellent, and the food is incredible. You have to go!

Wow! This is the best authentic Greek food I've ever had, and I've eaten in Athens, Greece! The Greek ribs are absolutely amazing—like they’ve been freshly transported straight to this kitchen. The taste of the Keftedes is so delightful, you can see the joy on people’s faces after their first bite. Our lovely Greek goddess of a host was incredibly sweet, and the charming market is filled with all sorts of products straight from the islands. An unforgettable experience!

Absolutely the best place. Authentic Greek cuisine that tastes amazing!

Went back to Yiannis in late Dec. 2021. Very disappointed. Price was much higher. They charge everything extra, including little pita bread. Paid almost $200 for 4. Went out to look for more food after leaving Yannis Will not recommend this restaurant
