The Lavey Inn - Cavan

As it was a group I pre-booked the table. I placed our order for each person before we left Dublin, coordinating with Pauline on our due arrival time. On landing our food was ready, hot and delicious. Excellent service and would recommend this venue without hesitation. Many thanks to Pauline, Seamus and the girls for their hospitality. Called into this place on my way to Cavan around 8.45 pm due to my flight delay and after calling my Hotel destination they said there would be no more serving of dinner. Laveys staff were very welcoming and took my order of a Fillet steak. The Steak arrived perfectly medium -well with mushroom /onions /chips and a fabulous pepper sauce. Probably one of the best steaks I've had in a while and beats my last visit to Shannaghans on the Green. Well done to the Lavey Inn team

We arrived late on a busy bank holiday weekend. We had a warm welcome and were seated right away. The main courses came quickly and they were excellent lamb chops and roast beef. There was a delay in the dessert arriving but it was gorgeous apple crumble so we didn’t complain. Overall a really good experience.

Stopped on the way back from Dublin. A good surprise with fresh home cooked food. Very hospitable and pints of Guinness Will visit again.
