Jovens is a longtime establishment in the city, known for being one of the first to introduce a buffet 99 years ago. They primarily serve Filipino-Chinese dishes such as roasted chicken, pinakbet, and pork steak. It's a popular spot for inexpensive meals, similar to a carenderia. However, they don't offer any Japanese options; instead, they have their own versions of popular dishes. Despite this, it remains a favorite spot for those looking for budget-friendly dining options, whether it's for a daily meal, special occasion, or celebration.
The food was satisfactory and the service was also satisfactory. The restaurant was supposed to open at 6:00 pm, but it opened late. We had made a reservation for 5:30 pm, but they did not notify us that they did not open until 6:00 pm.
Jovens eating are also great in their other twosome. it is like a family run where family can have as home cooked menu. fortunately they also open a filiale in parkmall where it is very well accessible.
They have plenty of food options but its quality was not satisfying. Tinipid ang lasa. It's good if you are celebrating with many people, life-saver sha to think of the price compared sa other Filipino buffet restaurant
