I order a burger with bacon and the patty and bacon were burned. Was a little shocked that they serve it. I was polite and asked for another because the taste was not good. It was a miss today, but we will be back because we had some positive food experiences before. They were super busy today, so I feel like they served more than quality. Would recommend stopping. Ice and shake are good!
This place is AMAZING! The staff are so friendly and the food is incredible! Service is speedy, prices are super reasonable for the quality and quantity of food. I am a long distance backpacker, had been on trail for a while and was so ready for a burger. I had a bacon cheeseburger, fries, onion rings, and a mocha malt. They were everything I hoped for and more. The atmosphere is great too. It's a cute, classic sort of American diner. I 100% recommend! You can't come to Cedar Glen and not stop here!
My fiancée and I have been coming here since we were teenagers with our families and we continue to come with our own family. I personally love their burgers and malts. The service is prompt, nice, professional and clean. The new upholstery they have done recently is a nice touch to the classic diner feel. I have always loved the little decor. Definitely a must try if your in the area or visiting deep creek lunch stop.
I ordered the Buick Roadmaster. What an incredible burger for the price! It?s a lot of hamburger so be prepared. The owners workers are very nice. Most definitely coming back.
We've been coming to Cedar Glen Malt Shop for a very long time it was one of the first places my husband introduced me to when we started dating. : Guess what, regulars? They remodeled and it is EVEN BETTER!!! The booths are gorgeous, redone in classic cars (see photos and the seating is more comfortable than the old tables and chairs. Could not be more impressed, and it really spruced up the place while still in keeping with the 50's diner vibe. We ordered burgers, fish and chips, and malts, shakes, and freezes, and despite being busy with lots of other customers, were blown away with how quickly our food arrived. As always, there probably is not a better burger known to man! French fries, Frings (yes, you can mix french fries and onion rings here! and onion rings were all perfectly cooked, and I loved the salad that came with my fish and chips. The double burgers are big enough to split, especially if you're getting ice cream or malts in addition to food, and their banana splits are HUGE! If you are within a few hours drive, take the trek up the mountain to give it a shot. If you're a local, consider yourself lucky! Parking can be a challenge but you can typically find parking on the street if the lot is full. There are some curvy roads if you're coming from the flatlands, so be prepared and take it slowly if you have someone who gets car sick easily. There are plenty turnouts to stop and take a breather and get fresh mountain air. Give it a shot, I'm guessing there will be NO regrets! :
