Cedar Island Resort

First, and most importantly the horses are well cared for, loved, and given freedom to roam when not working . This is all due to the dedication and care of the staff. We had the pleasure of riding with Dori, the onsite manager. She had a twinkle in her eye and her love for everything horse was obvious. We took a 90 minute ride down the beach and back, starting on the water line and coming back through the dunes. We walked and trotted throughout the ride. We saw bald eagles and a ton of shore birds. The highlight was crossing the water to the next island where we saw the wild horses. I highly recommend riding at Cedar Island. The bar is set high here! I doubt any trail ride will ever compare to this!

The sunrise views were unbelievable..the horseback riding was the coolest thing I've ever done and the weather was great!

We stayed for 3 nights, 4 days and it was really nice. I like peacefulness of the RV park. Dori was very pleasant to have meet you. I was very pleased with the comfort of everyone. It was a good place to relax from this pandemic ****. Looking forward to going back. My family went on a horseback ride and loved it. Dori and Dave showed them a good time. Thanks

We stayed for 2 nights in the motel with our dogs and came with our 2 horses. Motel was nice, clean and sufficient but beds where not made or towels replaced or toilet paper added during our stay. We had 2 corals available for our horses, no shelter though. Found it very expensive paying 30 dollars per horse per night for just a coral! Payed pretty much the same for the motel for one person! Beach ride was amazing and we where glad to have Dori ride with us the first day and second day cowboy Kenneth! He guided us thru all the islands and we saw the wild horses up close. Loved it! The thing that was really shocking though was that NO ONE in that whole area EVER wore a mask while having a pandemic! People coming up close to you who have contact with hundreds of other visitors is extremely reckless and dangerous!!!!! Even in the only available restaurant NO ONE wore a mask, had sanitizer available or did social distancing!!!! People acted like on another planet where no pandemic ever took place! Why? I have no answer .... All in all I would recommend it though, as the place is amazing and paradise for sure!

We had an incredible experience celebrating a birthday with a horseback ride, and we want to extend a big thank you to our wonderful guide, Dori. We brought along our two daughters, who were both a bit nervous—especially since one of them had never ridden a horse before. Dori was patient and took the time to ensure that they both had an unforgettable ride. The horses are so gentle and clearly well cared for. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this experience to anyone. Thank you once again for helping us create lasting memories with our girls!
