Angeethi (mirchi Express) Flame Fine Indian Bistro Catering

It seems that there has been a change in ownership at this restaurant. Unfortunately, the service has deteriorated significantly, and the quality of the food has declined even more. I used to visit often due to its close location to my home, but I’ve decided to change my habits. It’s worth driving a bit farther for better quality and service. There have been multiple occasions where I've had to wait for my order, despite having placed it ahead for pickup. While good desi food options are limited in Austin, I would recommend choosing a different restaurant.

The owner was incredibly friendly. We had never tried this type of cuisine before and were pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. We enjoyed chickpea curry served over the fluffiest rice we’ve ever had, along with sweet and sour soup and dessert. Everything was absolutely delightful! We're so glad we took our friend’s recommendation to visit this place. Next time, we’ll be more adventurous and try some of the meat dishes. We'll definitely be back!

The food here is expertly prepared and consistently delicious. I particularly love the wings, and the medium spice level of the tikka masala is just perfect for me. I will definitely be returning!

The food quality has significantly deteriorated in the last six months, possibly due to a change in ownership and definitely a change of chef. We used to frequent this place, but we're unlikely to return given the abundance of other dining options in Austin. The chicken Kodai we ordered lacked flavor and seemed like plain steamed chicken in uninspiring gravy. The grilled dishes were overly sour and lacked the delightful taste we remember from before. Furthermore, the absence of beef items is disappointing. It's unfortunate how a change in chef can negatively impact a once beloved dining spot.
