Zao's Chinese Kitchen - Cedar Park

Will never go to this restaurant. Soup was too salty and chicken was chewy. Cleanliness was poor as there was a lot of dust. Even for dine in they service you food in styrofoam.

Probably the worst General Tso Chicken I have ever had. The hot and sour soup tasted off in flavor and portions were real small in general. Not sure how they are getting 5 star reviews.

Excellent location for take out, done in isn't really their thing. Food was very good and an incredible value. Please help keep them around by patronizing them.

First time here. There are not many good Chinese food places in Leander and since we had a 15% coupon in the community impact we gave it a try. The interior is not very large and now see why they have more delivery or pick up orders. We started with hot and sour soup which was ok, it was extremely too salty for my liking but had a good flavor, not all that spicy. Egg rolls were good. The crab rangoons.......the entrees were the combination crispy noodle that were tasty and just enough sauce to absorb into the crispy noodles and was not too salty. The salt and pepper shrimp was another tasty but salty dish. I've had many salt/pepper dishes and never has it been this salty, but I'm not wasting either! The shrimps were a good size, that was a pleasant surprise. All in all, very nice lady at the front taking your order. And I'd give this place another try. And thank you for making the check adjustments for my discounted coupon, much appreciated.

This used to be my absolute favorite Chinese restaurant in the area. However, during my last two orders, I noticed that the portion sizes were exceptionally small, especially considering the Uber Eats markup, which put each entree between $14 and $17, not including tip. The portions felt like they were about half of what they used to be. Additionally, the sweet and sour chicken was a mess—it leaked everywhere. While the food was still tasty, it just wasn't as good as it used to be. We'll give them one more chance before deciding to switch to another restaurant we enjoy.
