Boulder Tap House Cedar Rapids

If you are looking to save money or go on a diet, this is the place for you! You will arrive to watch one of the games and they will seat you but nobody will serve you, even after you ask the hostess politely for a server 30 minutes after your arrival. You then realize all the servers are sitting at booths and standing at the bar. So then after 30 minutes more if not getting served, then you decide to just go to Panda Express. But overall 0 calories and $0 spent at Boulder Taphouse.

The service here is great, our waiter was very kind and on top of everything we needed. For a starter, if you have never tried them, the cheese curds are a MUST! We prefer ours to be made with pepperjack cheese, the breading seems to melt in your mouth. Our burgers were cooked to a lovely medium rare, and the Parmesan fries were loaded! I got to finish the meal with a delicious Oreo milkshake, and was very satisfied with the experience overall!

I was very impressed. The food came out lightening fast on a busy Saturday, loaded with Christmas shoppers. The appetizers were delicious, and our meal was on point. The waitress kept the drinks flowing. The place is loaded with tv's to watch the game. Very cool atmosphere for a tap house at the mall. No complaints here. Will be back for sure.Kid-friendliness: Has a restaurant feel. Great place to feed the kids while you enjoy one of the many beers on tap.Parking: It's a shopping mall. Parking is not an issue.

Good food but with the bar located in the middle of the room gives large open space between bar and tables. To me this arrangement makes the customer feel exposed to other patrons and doesn't give that private intimate atmosphere that other similar restaurants do.

The only negative thing I have to say is the prices aren't exactly wallet friendly, but the food is worth the price. I had the Tequila Lime Chicken Tacos. Seriously recommend.
