Bad attitude from all the waitress very expensive and too simple the food. We was there on January 3.
Our first time in Celeistun. We heard how beautiful it was and what fun it is to explore ...a great ride there from our home in CHELEM .We didn't know much about the area but found the pier and noticed all the beach restaurants..Well we followed the music and saw the crowd and it lead us to LA PALAPA ...THE PERFECT SHADY SPOT ON THE BEACH .Cold cervesa's hit the spot as we looked at today's offerings...Quite a festive place ..people smiling and having fun ...We opted for the fish and garlic and the octopus mexicana..Well we were not disappointed...Tasty and done to perfection ...so worth the trip ...so when your in Celeistun stop in and tell them THE PALMERS sent you ..Enjoy the view of the beautiful Gulf of Mexico...
We had been here before and had found the food boring at best. Today the waiters were attentive, the menu more expensive but we didn't mind because the food was great, nicely presented, and well cooked. We had fish in cilantro sauce (excellent) and coconut prawns (also very good). Even the coffee was much better than the usual fare in the Yucatan.
A slightly incongruous cavernous beach side restaurant. A magnet for Coach parties - but don't let that put you off. The service was very friendly and the food we had excellent.
