Very good, nice food, accomodating to non-german speaking table. Very nice local german food (rabbit etc) Would return for another visit.
Excellent restaurant, not a huge menu, but selected good dishes. Beautiful environment also, quiet and discreet
When the Rissmann family owned the place we loved. What a difference makes a owner... We celebrated my parents 50 years anniversary, my dad died in 2006, so I took my mom and a friend for the occasion. I told the guard exactly that, her indifference bordered on Rude. The wine bottle was poured by an untrained young lady, without tasting, she was simply poured and was not even aware that this is very wrong. The shell menu was very one-sided, only four types of shells, no pages. The regional menu was ok, the local lamb “Heidschnucke” too dry (and we are fans of the record normally). The “sugar meat” (aspied meat) was good, the tartaric acid sauce was very dirty. We mentioned our impressions (as you did in Germany) not interested the waitress. We ordered extra tartaric acid sauce (before tasting, see above). That was charged. All in all, we had good company together, but too much money for mediocre food and bad service. All excellent reviews here are quite old (2016 and older) in 2019: no place to go anymore!
Great food, wonderful service and excellent local beer.
