Woody's Smokehouse - Centerville

Have stopped at Woody's many times in the past, chickens were always delicious but the last 2 times we've stopped, the 1/2 chickens had very little smoke flavor, had been on the steam table a long time, and the white portion was dry. Potato salad way overpriced imo as it was $3.59 for a very skimpy portion. Don't think we will stop again although the pinto beans were good.

We just stopped to give our baby a break from her car seat. The store was charming, and refreshing because it wasn't overly crowded like the Buccee's just south of here. We bought some fudge and pumpkin butter. The woman working at the counter was friendly and polite. I would stop here again if I were on the I45. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We arrived quite late, just an hour before closing time at 9 PM, so I can't offer much critique on the food. We sampled the chopped brisket sandwich, jalapeño shrimp poppers, mac and cheese, ribs, and beans. The chopped brisket sandwich was outstanding—definitely a highlight! Unfortunately, the other dishes didn't impress as much, likely due to our late arrival. The ribs were quite dry. I plan to return at a more appropriate time to give them another shot and will update this review accordingly. The venue itself is really nice, with plenty of shopping options, and it was impressively clean, especially the restrooms.
