Rails 133 - Central

I like this restaurant so much that my family planned a surprise birthday party for me at the restaurant. The staff was kind and courtious and the food is home made and delicious.

This place was so great before. Food took 35 min when the last 20 min there was no one left in the restaurant except one family. We did come at 130 on a Sunday so a lot of items were running out or already gone but that 's not unexpected. Food was late, sides were cold, and when I told the owner, he had so many excuses. I paid, went back in because I was upset with his response and told him that. So he said "well what do you want me to do? "And I got more excuses. After more than 5 min, he did offer a refund. I was so much more upset, I left without accepting. Wow he was such a jerk. Basically, if you are a big party, sounds like they will treat you well. The owner does not care and he is so rude.

We arrived after 7, restaurant was not busy. Got put in a back room, service was awful.Half of the group ordered burgers, and every single one of them was over cooked. And one member of our party got no meal at all. Got told their ticket got missed. Won't be back

We absolutely love Rails; it's one of our favorite places to visit on Sundays!

Unfortunately, despite the friendly service from our waitress and the hostess, I’m unsure if we’ll return. We were seated at 12:10 PM, and our waitress approached us shortly after. We placed our order (a Caesar salad with grilled chicken, a quesadilla, and a grilled cheese) by 12:15 PM, as my husband only has an hour for lunch. Our 2-year-old daughter was with us and becoming increasingly hungry and tired, which made me feel terrible as she started to get restless. By 12:50 PM, we still hadn’t received our food or any updates on the delay, so we decided to leave. A man who was seated after us received his meal promptly and completed his meal and payment before 12:40 PM. As we were leaving, the hostess kindly offered to comp our meals and pack up what they had ready. We truly appreciated her gesture and her efforts to make things right. However, when I got to the car and gave my daughter her grilled cheese and fries, I found the fries were ice-cold, and the grilled cheese had clearly been sitting out for a while. My salad was decent, but it was also a bit soggy from sitting. My husband’s quesadilla was lukewarm at best. Overall, the food was good despite the circumstances, but I’m left wondering if there’s a kitchen issue at play. I’d recommend that anyone considering this restaurant plan to spend more than an hour there.
