China Express - Central Bedfordshire

First time we had been here, great service, lovley staff. Food was 10/10 came out fresh! Staff would check we had all our dishes that had been ordered and was nice to see management on the floor helping out as a team! Look forward to next time!

Having not used China Ex for a while since we last where unable to pay by card we thought we would give them another try as a friend had recently been able to pay for a takeaway by card. When he collected and had no cash the chip and pin machine suddenly was available! Again though tonight we called to order and were told rather abruptly that it is cash only for takeaway’s… we could have paid by card if we had eaten in the restaurant…….. not sure why the card machine works on one side of the counter but it’s only cash in hand on the other!

I have dined at this restaurant several times and the food has consistently been excellent, though a bit expensive. However, during my last visit, the quality of service was lacking. It was evident from the beginning that they were rushing us through our meal. It was clear they wanted to have everyone out by 10pm, which may be standard practice for Sandy, but it has given me pause about returning in the future.

Although the food at this Chinese restaurant was decent, the service was lacking. Out of the 8 main courses we ordered, 2 were forgotten and 1 was incorrect, resulting in some of us finishing our meals before others even received theirs. Despite requesting an adjustment to the bill, it was ignored.

Absolutely lovely meal tonight, we regularly order a takeaway from China express and it doesn’t disappoint. Rare night of from the kids tonight and we had a lovely meal. Excellent Service. Good Atmosphere in the restaurant. All the food is cooked lovely and very tasty. Portions are very good, went down lovely with a glass of wine. Smoked chicken is one of the best dishes ever. I have this regular. Thank you Monica, Hak all staff. : look forward to the next meal.
