Contribuisci feedbackWe had a delightful three-course meal and cheese board to ring in the New Year. The waitstaff and managers who attended to us were attentive and friendly. Charley and Michelle in particular provided excellent service until they finished their shift, at which point we had to request additional drinks. The selection of disco songs was a bit hit or miss, likely due to customer requests. Overall, it was a wonderful evening that we would recommend.
The place seems to run by what I can only assume are teenagers and not very nice ones at that. Terrible food terrible service awful staff and a terrible manager. Avoid this place I
Really poor experience for a Christmas dinner with friends. We had pre booked the 3 course Christmas meal and had to provide menu choices in advance. Upon being seated at the table, it took over 60 minutes for our starters to be served. The cauliflower tart I had was ok but not restaurant quality 5/10 . It then took another 50 minutes for our mains to be served. When they arrived mine beef was not warm likely because the plates were cold, and the food quality was poor. It went back to the kitchen and reappeared 3 minutes later and had not been replated. The textures were all soft and mushy like it had been microwaved. There was a distinct lack of seasoning across the board 1/10. Unfortunately due to the length of time taken to resolve the matter, myself and several of our friends had to leave early without dessert. Upon complaining to the female supervisor. She was very pleasant and happy to listen. However she needed to speak to her manager. The female manager was very rude and did not want to listen to our experience. She asked who even am I when I commented that the food service had been very poor the food quality very sub standard. The manager was acting like they were trying to escalate the situation, not de escalate at all. After a short 1 minute mostly 1 sided on the managers part conversation, she told me to leave without paying as the quality was that poor. When I left ~10 mins after my main first coming out , more than half the table hadn 't been served their mains yet. A member of staff commented they 'd recently had a management change, so maybe that 's the cause of this pub going downhill? During this, the restaurant was at approximately half capacity based on the number of empty tables. We were present from 6:30pm 9pm. Have been to kings reach approximately every 2 weeks for the last year. Beforehand when we lived in hitchin, it was similar with the milstream for 3 years even hosting an engagement and Christmas party of our own there too! Unfortunately given the food quality and manager 's approach to customer service, this shall be our last.
We went for a company Christmas meal, we pre booked and had everything shorted beforehand. Although the staff were organised and prompt with bringing out the food. When it came to organising the bill and settling the bill, the organisation was atrocious! They had no idea what was going on. The staff only was able to organise our bill if the had the full receipt and made us to divide our bill between us. It was a massive break down in management and really put a bad taste of the service at the end of our meal!
9 of us for a get together and meal. Food was great with fantastic service considering is was very busy. Staff were fantastic with there service and the atmosphere was super.well done to everyone once again
