I was appalled to witness a man, presumably the manager, speaking to a female staff member in a disrespectful manner while singing. I was very disappointed by this behavior and will not be returning to this pub. I do not recommend it at all.
Was in tonight for a quick visit and witnessed who I assumed to be the general manager start shouting right into the face of one of the female staff members face and proceeded to make her upset for no apparent reason! In front of all of the customers. Disgraceful behaviour from the management!
While this pub appeared to be implementing social distancing measures with posters and signs, there was actually no social distancing happening inside. The staff may have been trying their best to keep tables and bars clean, but with the large number of people present, it didn't make much of a difference. The toilet was very small, with no signs to indicate if it was occupied, which is just common sense.
Since the managment change on this pub, it has turned around 100%. Exactaly what this village has been crying out for. We tend to eat out every Sunday and have tried every Sunday Lunch within a 10 mile radius. The Royal Oak is now the hands down favourite and my husband refuses to go anywhere else. The puddigs are just to good to even describe in words. Well done to the staff.
