I requested an extra sauce that I paid for, but it didn’t arrive with my order. However, the driver went back to retrieve the missing sauce and also brought me a box of wings and two drinks—all on his own initiative. The service was outstanding! He was such a kind man, and the pizza is always great!
I lived in Tooting for six years, and this was always my go-to chicken shop. I could never decide whether to call it Olive Three or Olive the Third, but I can't remember ever having a bad experience there. The staff are fantastic; they even helped my wife once when a strange guy was following her from the station. Thank you, and I will miss you, Olive Three (or the Third)!
I walked into the shop, placed my order, and even repeated it twice. However, when I got home, one of the pizzas was wrong, and I'm not impressed. When I called to let them know about the mistake, they hung up on me. On top of that, I had to walk back to the shop. No amount of apologies makes up for the fact that this is the third time they've messed up my order.
I specifically ordered three pieces of chicken: one leg and two thighs. After waiting for over 40 minutes, I watched as other customers who arrived after me were served. Eventually, a young man behind the counter decided to give me a breast piece without asking if that was acceptable. I declined, reiterating my request for one leg and two thighs. Then, I saw him put back some contaminated chips into the fryer. He finally offered me two small chicken thighs, which I felt were too small compared to what I've received from other places. When I asked if he could give me larger pieces, he accused me of being ungrateful and mentioned that there are people starving elsewhere. I was taken aback, thinking, "What?" I'm a paying customer—was this really how he should speak to me? Things escalated quickly as he became aggressive and argumentative. I asked him to calm down since I was holding my baby, but he refused to listen. I decided to leave, telling him I would go elsewhere. In response, he shouted at me to get out of his shop, asserting that he owned the business, practically challenging me to a fight. While I practice martial arts and could have responded, I didn’t want to cause a scene, especially with my son there and other patrons around, not to mention the CCTV. In the end, I walked out, but my wife knows the owner and will be discussing this incident with him. She usually goes there with her friends, but I doubt she'll be returning after this experience.
The takeout experience was quite disappointing. The seating area was very outdated, with many broken chairs and wobbly tables. The staff seemed distracted; I had to repeat my order at least six times, and it still ended up being incorrect. The food was subpar as well—I had to discard the hot wings because they were almost raw. I don’t mean to be rude or harm anyone’s business, but I truly hope the owner reads this review and considers making improvements for success, or perhaps thinks about closing the business and pursuing something else.
