And how impressive it was when we entered and were offered to remove our shoes and sit on the extension of the floor covered with traditional carpets. It made us feel so special. The atmosphere was incredible. We felt like we were in Central Asia. The food was delicious. Desert I have never tasted anything like this. If you like different cuisine and completely unusual experiences you will fall in love with this place. Simply delicious. Thank you.
First of all, despite booking ahead and calling to check the booking, when we arrived we were told that there wasn't a booking for us. Secondly, it took far too long to be brought menus or to have our order taken. There was one competent member of staff but that was it. The main courses themselves were not particularly tasty or special, but the starters were reasonable. The place itself was in an odd hotel, down numerous passages. The atmosphere was embarrassingly awkward due to the relative emptiness of the restaurant.
The restaurant itself has an inviting atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a meal worthy of a pasha. As I delve into my Central Asian roots, I find the cuisine incredibly satisfying—my grandfather would have adored it. The menu is extensive, featuring everything from kebabs and shashliks to dumplings, borscht, sushi, and even tempura, making its culinary journey reach as far as Japan. The food truly stands out. The music complements the elegant interiors, and you're likely to encounter some fascinating individuals here, such as a Kazakh forensic scientist, a Russian teacher, a blonde Turkish drag queen accompanied by a Jamaican herbalist, or a Ukrainian painter. If you’re interested, you could engage in social and political discussions, touch on topics like Eurovision, Turkish culture, Soviet history, Stalin, Borat, as well as explore themes of art and love. The ambiance is intimate and romantic, ideal for quiet conversations. Many love stories have begun in this charming place; simply recline on the cushions beneath the two swans and let your imagination take flight. On Saturdays, there's even belly dancing to enjoy!
I had an incredible experience at this restaurant! The service was outstanding, and the sushi was delightful. The atmosphere was enhanced by live music and belly dancing, creating a unique vibe that I've never encountered anywhere else in London. If you're a sushi lover, this is a must-visit, and if you're a fan of Central Asian cuisine, you absolutely have to try this place. It truly is the only venue where you can find everything under one roof. #privateparty #turkishspa
The traditional Uzbek dishes are delightful, especially the samsa and dumplings, which were exceptionally tasty. The national decorations also create a cozy atmosphere, making you feel a bit at home—just a touch, but enough to notice.
