782 Taphouse - Central Elgin

I got this pizza in our hotel room! Maybe the best pizza I ever had. from experience and a lifetime of pizzas. that's great pizza!

This restaurant is exactly what people are looking for when they want a pub or breakfast spot. The staff is friendly and welcoming.

The service at this restaurant was absolutely awful. It was almost nonexistent. Three tables were served before us, even though we arrived earlier. The umbrella flew away because there was no weight at the bottom. Good luck to any friends and family who decide to dine here.

Husband and I had lunch here on Saturday. He ordered fish and onion rings. They were both cold. He tried to eat the fish out of the batter and when he got to the last piece it had raw batter on it. I ordered a blt and fries with gravy on the side. The fries were seasoned which I don't care for,, the gravy was clearly from a can or a package..it was like gel. Instead of a blt I got a blt wrap. I was fine with this at first until I started eating it and it wad really dry..no mayo. Our waitress didn't return until I was halfway done eating so I could ask for some and at no point did she ask how everything was.

We ordered takeout pizza for the first time since Covid reopening. We had been regular customers. We ordered 2 pizzas . Both were like cardboard, little sauce and cheese and weRetasteless. We paid for extra cheese and there was very little. What happened to the pizza chefs. Did they catch the disease! Never again.
