It’s the kind of place that would be good for a business lunch or a date or just a quick lunch all at the same time. My personal favorite is the Orange Chicken. If you ever are in Central Point, the restaurant is right next door to Rays Food Place.
Our total bill was $62.85, and we intended to leave at least a $10 tip. However, feeling rushed and also being charged for some pink sauce to take home with our leftovers made us decide against leaving a tip, especially given her unprofessional behavior. To make matters worse, she followed us outside to ask if we left a tip, and when we explained that we hadn’t, she declared that she would refuse to serve us in the future! If you decide to eat here, just be aware that it seems the server's convenience takes priority over customer experience. Last I checked, the food industry was supposed to prioritize customer service, but it seems Ma's Kitchen doesn’t share that belief.
I've visited numerous Chinese restaurants in the area, but this one is definitely my favorite. The broccoli beef is fantastic, featuring generous chunks of tender beef and perfectly textured broccoli. Sweet and sour chicken is another dish I love. The service has always been friendly, and while the exterior of the building isn't appealing, it doesn't matter when the food and service are this excellent.
We’ve stopped in for lunch here a few times while traveling and have always been pleased. They prepare your meals fresh, without MSG, and the staff is friendly and quick. The shrimp fried rice, egg rolls, and orange chicken are all outstanding. While the location isn’t the greatest, the interior is very clean.
