Old school pancake at Pek Kio market! Run by a bunch of aunties, who just tirelessly set new pans, make new pancakes, cut them up, and serve them to the never ending queue. At 60 cents per piece, you can't really complain. Especially if you bought to eat on the spot, the heat, freshness, and textures all coming together, was a beautiful experience. Great for that local breakfast you're looking for in Singapore.
Generous with the peanut filling and texture was on point!
The classic pancakes at this restaurant are both delicious and budget-friendly.
When my Aunt handed me this thin, flat piece, I immediately had doubts, thinking it wouldn't live up to my expectations of a good pancake. However, after taking a bite, I was pleasantly surprised by its chewy texture similar to mochi. It would have been even better with more grounded peanut filling! It tends to sell out by noon or even earlier, so make sure to arrive early!
