Upon arriving to Cheticamp to eat there, it was a Friday night at 5:30 and it was closed. We went down the street to the Happy Clam Cafe( very good by the way)! and the lady said she thought they were closing down due to family issues. Too bad, would have liked to try it.(:
This restaurant (like many in Nova Scotia) has great views of the water and delicious seafood but this one also had a good fiddler. The night we were there, it was a little quiet due to it being the off season but the music and food were still superb. My husband had the seafood platter which was enormous and delicious and I had the a salmon dish that was perfectly cooked. I would definitely come here again!
We visited in summer of 2015 and this was our best meal on Cape breton. The service was great and the added bonus was the music. Would highly recommend it. Cant remember if they take reservations but if they do I would make them.
While small and kind of on the dark side, this restaurant was a great place to have a simple dinner at the end of a long day of driving. A young woman played fiddle the whole time we were there, which was a nice, and different experience.
Our hosts at the Cornerstone Motel recommended this restaurant and made reservations for us. The dinner was excellent and we enjoyed live fiddle music while eating.
