The interior may not be anything to write home about and the service is average, but if you're in the mood for some authentic Hong Kong cuisine, this is the spot for you. I highly recommend trying the fried rice rolls and wonton noodle soup. The claypots are also a must-try and absolutely delicious.
We tried the Lamb steamboat with vegetables at this restaurant, which was enough for 2 adults and 1 kid. We also ordered 2 bowls of rice which complemented the meal perfectly. The tomato rice and crispy vermicilli were excellent as well. The crispy vermicilli was a bit oily but had a great wok hei flavor. We will definitely return to this restaurant.
The porridge and Singapore fried noodles at this restaurant are delicious. It's a great spot to enjoy Cantonese cuisine at an affordable price. I will definitely be returning in the future.
Really authentic cantonese food. Service is quick and priced right. Like their milk tea and porridge during winter. A lot of options to choose from that you’ll keep coming back.
One of the better Hongky style “tea” “restaurants” I’ve been to recently. Situated opposite holmesglen and it’s frequently a lot by students.. our favourite here is the deep fried soft shell crab and the congee. Will definitely return to try other items on the menu... flavours are quite authentic.. to add to that hongky authenticity... on the way out paying the bill by card we ask for a receipt. Only to be loudly yelled back at us “it’s in front of you” . We wanted the credit card receipt.. “I can’t give you that now, have to wait for the machine!” I just smiled and patiently waited... haha yep oh how I miss Hong Kong service sometimes :
