Whenever I have family visiting, I always take them there for a meal and everyone is always satisfied. Tonight, I ordered the ribs for my sister and we couldn't stop raving about them. Thank you, Fosters, for consistently delicious meals!
I ate at the restaurant because it was the only option in the city, aside from another place that was closed on Sundays. The service was okay, but the kitchen was slow, taking 1 1/2 hours one night and 1 hour the next. Another customer mentioned that both the service and food quality had declined since the owner passed away. However, the chef seemed to have a good handle on preparing dishes timely.
Everything we ordered was very good. we had a combination plate, blt, club sandwich and grilled cheese. everyone enjoyed their food and service. with their popularity and personal are ready to wait a little longer for eating to be ready. but it was worth waiting for it! beautiful historical atmosphere.
Driving back and forth from Santa Fe to Colorado, I needed to find a place to eat where there also was shade to keep my kitty from roasting in the van. Eastily found that across the alley from Foster's, so I wound up eating there twice. The first meal, a burrito was good enough but not the best I'd ever had. I'd give that 3 stars. Second visit, I decided to try a patty melt and fries, which were excellent. Service was good too, so I'll stop there again on my next trip to Colorado.
We didn't stay at the hotel but went to the diner inside. SUPER slow service, we were there almost 2 hours and the food was not cooked to order. We almost walked out, will never eat here again.
