However, there were two very unhappy customers who were expressing their frustration due to thewait time. The owner of the coffee shop was arguing back with the customers at two separate times in front of everyone, whichmade me feel very uncomfortable. I don?t like confrontation so I did want to leave ASAP but I wanted my coffee. The customerscomplaining were in the wrong since there was a sign outside saying the wait time would be longer than usual, but the yellingand arguing back and forth from the owner made me and my son feel very uncomfortable. There does need to be more professionalismfrom the owner and learn to maybe not yell back at unhappy customers, even if the customer is in the wrong. As a former managerof a company myself, it?s better to be the bigger person and kindly explain the situation with being short staffed, rather thanimmediately yelling back. The customers became angry due to the tone from the owner. Not very professional. Also, the arguingcustomers were not a threat to anyone. Yes, the customer was in the wrong, not wanting to leave when asked, but at the sametime, you, the owner, made the threat of calling the police which had made customer more upset and defensive, thus not wantingto leave. The owner essentially escalated the situation. My son said, ?Dad, what if that man had a weapon and was not mentallythere? I was so scared.? My son made a good point. This day in age, we don?t know what some people are capable of but one thingyou can do as an owner is to learn how to professionally control the situation and think about the safety of others in the room.I also felt really bad for the entire staff because they all looked so drained. I asked the cashier how her day was and she said?very tired and I?m just ready for the day to be over? : The coffee was totally worth the wait
Very nice looking shop and staff. The problem is the women who seemed to be trying to run the show. Not a good person to be dealing with the public. She is argumentative with customers and threatens to call the police when she doesn't like honesty. Iam sure it's totally different when she isn't there. We never got our coffees but enjoyed toast with avocados before beforebeing kicked out. If she isn't the owner, the owner should be aware. J Hodges from VA
I come to Chama about 4-5 times a year and Cassie and her daughter are amazing! The food is wonderful and the coffee is out of this world and the pastries are fire! Get the NM Sunrise for breakfast!
Just stopped for a cup of coffee and discovered this wonderful place! Ordered coffee, tea and muffins, and all were wonderful! Muffins were incredibly fresh and flavorful, and served warm. Tea was freshly brewed in an individual pot and was perfect. Goodselection of black, green and herbal teas. Seating available both inside and out. Great decor! Super friendly staff! Glad westumbled on to this place...great find!
Glad we stopped in. Breakfast choices in town seem limited. They have more than just espresso! They actually have some very good breakfast sandwiches and plenty of breads and pastries and a great staff to top it off.
