LE PALAIS INDIEN - Chambéry

I am here in Chambery from last 5 months. I always missed my home food. But I fond this Restaurant where I can feel like home. Delicious food and excellent hospitality is really admirable. In addition to, the decoration of restaurant was very impressive which depicts my native culture.I would prefer to go again and again.

It's great place to get Indian food .. not too spicy we enjoyed well , my girl friend very happy about plate that she had.we are vegetarian anyway we had lot of choice to select....

As far as I know this is the only Indian restaurant in Chambery. But I have eaten in many better Indian restaurants in other towns. The sheek kebab which I had as a starter was very tasty - nice mix of spices. My partner got a very large salad as starter. The curry I had as main dish had less taste, not many spices and the rice was not very perfumed either. The cutlery was not all clean and luckily we could sit outside because inisde it did not smell very nice.

Very friendly owner who recommended the dishes accordingly to our wishes - 2 veggie adults, 1 child. And every plate was so delicious: spicy daal, well done biryani, tasty samosa, good fish, fresh raita and delightful mixed vegetables. We were very late in the evening, but he still had time for us. Thank you for an evening that touched our stomachs as well as our souls.

Solid selection of typical Indian fare. Typical pricing. This is what you would expect from a standard Indian restaurant in France. I was offered a free juice while looking at the menu, but other than that don't expect to be wowed. The service was a little pushy, but very kind. This neighborhood seems to be up and coming with many new businesses opening up.
