Both love to eat good food and it was definitely a gastronomic pearl!...I am veggy and they had no issue changing the menu on a whim without prior notice. Both had enough food after a hard and long ride. It tasted delicious and the wine was excellent. Special shout out to the waiters who were all very friendly en professional.
Food was very good and well presented ... desserts were delicious and homemade, so do not miss it ....
We stayed here for one night, but the restaurant is over priced and serves extremely small portions of food. The wine range is expensive and nothing special.
Not much choice on their set menu which meant we went a la carte and boy did we pay for that! I was irked by the fact the head waiter kept refusing to speak to me in french and gave us english menus which i...couldn't make head nor tail of. Come on, my french isn't that bad! The food was delicious and we enjoyed the cheeses which were wheeled over to our table for us to choose from. Delightful young blonde haired waitress who seemed so happy about everything, she rescued the place after having to deal with the surly head waiter.
The L'Orangerie restaurant is located in the Chateau de Candie and provides very good French cuisine. We ate there on a Sunday night and enjoyed the experience. The wine list is extensive and reasonably priced for the setting. The food was of a very high quality and beautifully presented. We found the service to be very good and friendly, although one young waiter was a little inexperienced.
