This is the second time we have lunch at the hostel and it's really every time a pleasure ... the place, the atmosphere, the service and the table ... all help us to spend an excellent time at a very appropriate price... to advise without moderation!

The previous (many old and outdated) reviews on Tripadvisor do not meet this place. Yes, our room needed a new carpet and yes, the garden needs some tydiing up. However: The staff is very friendly, friendly and nice. Sitting on the terrace, in front of the Mont Blanc is fantastic and worth every euro. But the best is to come: The 65Euro multi-course dinner is simply amazing and worth every cent. I am very picky when it comes to food and I was really excited. Each course was a beautiful surprise, good balance, perfectly arranged and very, very tasty. It is presented in a top-gourmet level and in style, but also in a relaxed alpine way. I would like to congratulate Emmanuel Renaut and his crew for their creativity and craftsmanship, the best French cuisine!

Our fourth trip there, had great previous meals was like something from 'Faulty Towers'. A starter with curly fish mouse and a gray liquid sent back. Main courses that look like a microwave meal...... Always no staff. It seemed to wait... staff resurrected, prepared meals. We paid for half the meal/drinks. After local rumor, was it that her cook had run out? As a customer it would have been nice to have an explanation? It was a big shame, we were never back.

I travelled 4 hours by car to try this Michelin stared restaurant. The service was ok, the wine excellent, but the food, bland, very very disappointing. I personally now only trust Michelin with regards Italian restaurants in Italy, I have never been disappointed there.
