Joes Brewery - Champaign

We were denied entry because they accused us of having fake IDs, but we know that wasn't true. We were disappointed with the music, as it didn't sound good at all. Liars never prosper.

After leaving Joe's, I realized I had lost an item and went back to search for it. A worker opened the exit gate for me to go inside, but a bouncer yelled at me to leave because I had stepped out briefly. Despite trying to explain that I had lost something and asking for help, I was rudely told no and pushed out. I waited in line to get back inside, only to be told by the unfriendly manager that I was not allowed in because I appeared too drunk (which was not true). The manager gave a half-hearted apology and showed no interest in helping me find my lost item, blaming the bouncer's behavior on stress. In the bouncer's defense, working under such management would be stressful. I do not recommend supporting this establishment. Zero stars!

I am disappointed to report that I observed several health code violations at the Brewery. The violations included employees participating in Body Shots with customers, which is extremely unsanitary. Additionally, it is confusing why they are called a brewery if they do not actually brew beer on site.

Great food, great music, great owners, great staff, great bartenders. I love this place and I had some of my best memories here. I think the owner is a very nice and intelligent guy and this is one of the reasons this place has everything. If you want to party, they have a huge space in the back with big mirrors (if someone claims to have a dance bar and they don't have any mirrors there, they don't know the business at all) and great DJs and light and music. OMG I was in some of the most beautiful bars in California, but none of them can beat my experience of Joe's. Total value of time (to stay in line) and money (charge and drinks).

The drinks? Delicious. The food? The doormen? Drop dead beautiful If you are looking for the best bar in Champaign, don't look further
