I have dined at multiple Lao restaurants in the Chicago area and was hoping for a similar experience in Champaign. Unfortunately, I was extremely disappointed. The food quality was drastically different. The beef and broccoli dish was overly watery, almost like soup. Additionally, one of our entrees was forgotten by the server and when it finally arrived, it resembled something you would find at Panda Express, despite being nicely presented.
The restaurant serves authentic cuisine and has a diverse menu. The wine was priced at only $5, but the pour was a small 4oz.
Made a reservation for 1:30pm. Our table was given away to a party with less people and our overall wait was over an hour. We ordered appetizers and drinks, had to keep reminding them to bring drinks. Beers were warm. 1/2 the dinner arrived before any appetizers. Had to ask them to take the 1/2 of dinner back and bring the appetizers first. THen had to go get our own silverware and find someone to bring us water. Finally got the appetizers and then dinner came with 5 of our orders only. Two other orders came 15 minutes later. VERY POOR SERVICE!!!!! Will not go here again unless it is my last resort.
Authentic kitchen and menu. wein was only $5, but only pour a 4oz.
