I placed an order at the Anthony St location (newer one), and ordered delivery. I guess delivery orders get converted to DoorDash as opposed to having in-house delivery driver. DoorDash delivery driver dropped off the wrong order. When I contacted the store, Cameron was the individual handling my issue and said it wasn't possible that I to order delivery because that location does not offer delivery (even though the website clearly promotes, advertises, and allows delivery orders to go through). He said he would call me back. He never did, so I called them back. He said he couldn't verify my order and I needed to contact DoorDash. But since I didn't order through DoorDash, there was no order number for me to give them. There was, however, a confirmation number from the Potbelly website but he had no interest in looking into that. DoorDash also referred me back to the restaurant since the order was made through PotBelly. When I asked for a corporate phone number from Cameron to address my concerns, he gave me DoorDash's phone number. I tried to contact PotBelly on Facebook and email. It's been about 2 weeks, and my order has not been fixed. I understand that their location is newer, but they can do better.
So I ordered delivery at work, soup sandwich. As I 'm finishing up my soup and crackers I feel something non edible in my mouth before swallowing. To my surprise, I pulled a thick piece of plastic out my mouth! ? Upon calling the store to report it, I spoke with a young lady whom name I didn 't catch but I 'm sure started with the letter C...I called the store approximately around 2:30 on Jan 19th. It wouldn 't be a big deal if she showed a little compassion. Instead her exact words were What do you want us to do ? Hmmm ? Well for starters, perhaps an apology to the customer, or make an effort to clean up where you fu# 'd up! She stated that it was probably the plastic from the soup like I 'm supposed to be ok with having it in my mouth. For all I know, that plastic bag with soup could have been dragged across your floor before prep. People with poor customer service can make a business look bad! It was very unsanitary at the end of the day and the little airhead didn 't seem to care. Now had I decided to take other measures other than reporting it to the store, then I would be wrong! I called back and spoke with another staff member who showed a bit more compassion and found my situation surprising but our call was dropped. So at the end of the day, nothing was resolved not even a replacement of soup. That was bad customer service. I hope this review finds her and management well.
They ran out of ingredients and I didn't get half of the stuff I ordered and payed for. Also the sandwich was uncut, and I know for a fact they didn't run out of knives to cut it with. The restaurant was dead empty too and there was only one other order waiting, so I don't get how this happened. Maybe an employee is purposefully botching orders? Idk but I am not coming back :
I found a plastic nail in my chicken salad sandwich. I felt something hard in my mouth and spit it out. I was so grossed out by looking at what was in my mouth…. Their hygiene is really bad. I wouldn’t recommend going there.
