Empire Buffet - Champlain

I’ve had quite a few experiences at this restaurant, both good and bad depending on the freshness of the food. Unfortunately, it seems that some patrons only come when the food isn’t as fresh. Sometimes the staff asks for my preferences to better prepare my meal, which I really appreciate. The best time to visit is right at opening, at 12:00 PM. I went one evening to order takeout and encountered a man around 45 years old who was incredibly impatient, despite the waitstaff asking him to wait just two minutes. I was surprised to see that there are kids helping out at the restaurant. If they make mistakes, I understand; they’re still learning.

The portion sizes are fantastic! One large order of Sesame Chicken is enough to cover both my lunch and dinner! Plus, the flavor is amazing!

At the price chopper to get some stuff, and saw that they were open that they are usually not on Monday. I took out and the crabs rangoons were amazing! They make the best in the area!

As a longtime customer, I've figured out the best times to visit this restaurant. Sometimes the food is dry, but at other times, it's fresh and delicious. The prime time to go is right when they open at 11:00 AM, when everything is hot and tasty. However, by around 2 PM, the food tends to dry out. During my visit today, I learned that they plan to close the buffet, which is disappointing as they will be shutting down in September 2019 earlier than expected. On the bright side, at least the menu ordering is still available, and the portions are generous—freshly made and delicious. A single combination platter can leave me completely satisfied. I really love it here!

Very fresh and good food. Staff is always polite
