The U R Brewtiful is a must try espresso martini! Also been on a Saturday night and tried the bruschetta and a grazing board. Even the private grazing box is good with another 1-2 people, especially if you’re getting other food. And the bruschettas we tried were delicious. Saturday night did have a live singer, who was AMAZING, but with the speaker for the singer and all the people (it was a full house) it was LOUD. Like I was hoarse after. Still had fun though, maybe a Saturday night is just not the right time for me.
Great service and food options. Drinks tasted really good. Food portions were large as well. Will definitely return.
Great little spot! Sat belly up to the bar and had excellent service. House white and house red was ACTUALLY GOOD. My husband had red and I had white, both $6. Food was excellent for the price as well. If you want a table come early.
Received great service and a custom cocktail bartender 's choice that was delicious and refreshing. I had the tasty flatbread to nibble on and the meatballs are amazing with a glass of cabernet. There is a large bar and ample seating for the live music events. The acoustics are tricky in this space, which leads to seriously high volume levels that were uncomfortable during the live music. I 'd like to Not need to yell at the person sitting next to me in order to be heard. That said... the quality of musicians was quite good! ??
I'll start with the first impressions before I even stepped foot in the restaurant. When setting up my reservation for my wife and I. I was required to input my credit card information. Then received a text message the next day that if we are a no show, we will be charged $10 each. Now, my expectations are very high! My wife and I are hard core foodies, we have dined at some of the finest restaurants all over Arizona and other places throughout the country. If a restaurant is going to require my credit card information to hold a reservation, it better be damn good.We arrived at the restaurant property on time and one of the first things out of the hostesses month was that we have a 90 minute limit. I was instantly turned off less than 30 seconds of walking in the door. I'm a paying customer who is willing to drop some money into this place, and I'm going to be timed? I have yet to eat a bite of food and I already want to leave. We are shown our table and waited several minutes before our waitress arrives to take our drink order. The drinks did arrive in a reasonable time frame and they were good. We then ordered two appetizers, the crab cakes and the brusselsprouts. Both were a dismissal disappointment. It was quite obvious to me that the crab meat came out of a can and had a fishy odor to them and the brusselsprouts had a burnt taste to them.Next we ordered two boards of brusheda and since they do give the option to mix it up, we order a wide variety of them. For the most part, the were good, not amazing, and a mouth watering delight, they were just good. After 2 drinks each, the subpar appetizers and the ok brusheda. We had enough. I laid my credit card on the table and waited for 10 min before we were seen. With tip, our bill was $143 and some change.Needless to say, we will not be back! There are many places I could go and spend $143 and have a much more enjoyable experience. There are places where I could spend $300 or more and they don't require my credit card information. There are also places that have a dress code, and I could easily spend $500 and they don't give me a 90 minute limit. On many levels, this place is ridiculous, over priced and a huge disappointment.I do not recommend Black Sheep!
