They offer a wide variety of specialty rolls in addition to the usual options, and the portions are quite generous. There’s also a good selection of sake, beer, and other drinks. The ambiance is lovely, featuring two bar areas and outdoor seating, and there's no waiting to get in! I highly recommend the garlic edamame; it’s packed with garlic and has a nice kick. The owner even makes the rounds to ensure guests are satisfied with their meals. We'll definitely be returning!
It had been a while since our last visit, and it seems there has been a change in management. The only noticeable differences were that the staff dressed more casually, the menu was smaller and less formal (now on paper), and there was the addition of purple rice. Both the service and food were quite good. All the sushi rolls we tried—veggie, spicy tuna, crazy, Arizona, and dynamite—featured purple rice, which was unusual but didn't affect the flavor. We went on a Saturday night and were seated right away. The restaurant has a nice outdoor seating area, along with a bar and a sushi bar, in addition to the main dining area.
The restaurant is under new management, and I must say, the food has significantly improved. The service is decent, but they really need to do a better job of cleaning the tables. When the sushi was served, I noticed it looked a bit unusual; they use black rice that has a purple hue, which made me a little worried. However, all my doubts disappeared after the first bite—the rolls and sushi taste fantastic and are served in generous portions. The waitstaff was attentive, but it did take the kitchen a while to prepare our order. I deducted a star because the table was sticky; they should focus on truly cleaning the tables instead of just spreading the mess around. Overall, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the patio is a lovely spot to enjoy on nice days.
My friend Erin and I dined there last night, and the food was amazing! The service was decent, but the incredible quality of the food truly made the experience stand out. Woot woot!
