Beefeater Hut - Chandler’s Ford

I used to love this place, came here for every birthday, but I was so disappointed this evening. The place was dead but we had to wait forever to get served, I went to the bar myself to refill my drink at one point. Food was average at best. Toilets had sticky floors and broken seats/flushes. Shame really, better off going to the King Rufus down the road.

Five weeks ago three of my party had bad stomachs the next day, contacted head office by email , didn’t get a reply. This week we thought we would give them another chance. 5.30 Saturday evening , ran out of t bone steaks, no king prawns, my son ordered surf and turf and they put two (yes two) shrimps on top of his steak. They were so small you could hardly see them. My ribs were so dry I think they must have been cooked at lunch time. This place is nowhere near what it used to be, it was my favourite restaurant in the area, won’t be back. If head office doesn’t care why should the staff. I can’t even give one star even though our waitress was very friendly. Ian Smith. I’ve had to give one star to post my review.

We visited on a busy Saturday night, upon entry it was made clear that the restaurant was full but we could order and eat in the bar area. Overall it was a nice experience, staff were friendly and attentive, bar area was somewhat sterile and has an active pool table so be aware of this. Food arrived quickly, was warm and decent quality. Portion size was very good, we had no room for desert! Prices are fairly standard, lots of parking and easy to get to. Just a bit run of the mill, was tempted to rate 4 star but maybe another time.

Amazing food staff and service should leave tip as that good well-mannered staff great chef ‍ had steak dink plus dessert enjoy atmosphere family friendly place can't fault it. Had sirloin steak popcorn sandae

The staff were wonderful, especially Tracey who couldn't do enough for us, making sure we had everything we needed and gave the kids something to keep them entertained. The food was also lovely and hot and didnt have to wait too long for it. Clean and tidy venue. We would definitely visit again.
