Taverna Kali Kardia - Chania

This place is fantastic! They serve delicious and fresh local dishes. We tried the baked cheese, meatcake, and beef with peppers and feta. Everything was amazing. The white wine they served was also excellent, not too strong with a slightly sour taste that was perfect for quenching our thirst. This place is definitely worth a visit!

I visited this restaurant with friends from the neighboring village. We had the place to ourselves at 2:00 PM (end of the season) and enjoyed delicious homemade Cretan dishes. The young owners, who are the grandchildren of the previous owners, were excellent. There are steps on each side of the restaurant, but also a ramp on the left side for access.

This unique traditional tavern restaurant serves large dishes cooked with olive oil, homemade cuisine, and excellent wine. The atmosphere is magnificent, and the staff are very friendly. We enjoyed every minute and all the dishes were exquisite. We dined there three times this week and we will be back soon.

Awesome place. Although it is not placed in a busy touristic village the traditional plates we got was amazing. We really enjoyed everything we ordered. Quantity and quality was excellent for all the plates and the people were kind and polite during our time there. The view from the balcony was great and the prices were reasonable. It really worths the time to drive there and I totally recommend it.
