Texas Forever Cafe Grill - Channelview

We used to come here a lot and the food was great. Now they close whenever they want and the food has gotten bad. My husband went to eat today at 7:30 (they are supposed to close at 9) and they told him they were closed because they were slow. You are slow because no one knows when you will be open! So he went next door to eat Hunts Pizza. Don't advertise you are going to be open when you aren't!

The atmosphere was pleasant and the staff was friendly. The food took a while to arrive and was cold, but still tasted okay. I ordered a Hamburger Steak expecting a burger with steak meat, but it was nothing like that. They should make it clearer that it is not a burger. I understand times are tough economically, but I have never experienced an inflation charge of 8% at any other restaurant I have been to - that was a bit surprising. Overall, it was an okay experience.

I visited this restaurant once. The portions were generous and the service was decent, but unfortunately, everything tasted burnt. I couldn't finish my meal because every bite had a burnt flavor.

Amazing staff and the food does not disappoint. Larissa remembered who I was as soon as I walked in. Feels like family!!! I had to stop in even though I wasn't hungry and get me 1 of her girly drinks. lol. Thanks again Larissa!!!

This is an island of quality in channelview. and it is one of the best truck stop restaurants that you will find. texas is also an idea close to my heart, so I hoped for the best when I tried. larissa greeted me at the door and I found a place close to one of the two people tables. I have to admit to being a little cloby my whole life, that's smashed on the table. the special today was big fish, which is two beautiful pieces of fish and cole Slav. I had added my Cajun style black and a side of red beans and rice. everything was delicious. service was quick and friendly and she checked me from time to time. it is clean and beautiful there with a texas independence vibe, another thema I like. they have a covered terrace and advertise live music. and if they need fuel or something from the convenience store, it's all next door. I loved it! I'm going back.
