Picante! - Chantilly

I loved Picante! I grew up in Alexandria and was visiting the Udvar-Hazy from NYC, but I’d never gone to Picante before. My family and I were in search of lunch in the Chantilly area and Picante was highly recommended by a friend who used to work there. He told me to order the fajitas and he was not wrong. Good grief. We ordered a pound of mixed beef and chicken and we almost finished it. One of us is usually very disappointed by Tex-Mex restaurants in the DC area because they don’t taste anything like the food he grew up eating in Texas, and he was floored by how good Picante was. The salsa is the kind he eats whenever he’s back in TX and he almost never finds it on the East Coast. One of us ordered a quesadilla and was very pleased too. We will be back! Thank you, Guillermo!

Nice looking place friendly people they brought the complementary chips and salsa absolute no taste. It was like dipping a mediocre chip in to water ordered basic taco beef. I don’t know how they prepared the beef, but it was a very weird texture and let me just say after the meal I was looking for something to get the whole taste out of my mouth. Taco Bell tacos have a much more desirable flavor with their beef. I can’t speak for the other things on the menu, but this customer will not be going back and trying anything else on the menu there are much better places to get tacos in my humble opinion. Parking: Typical strip mall parking lot dinner time. Plenty of parking.
