I am disappointed because the prices are high and I expect better quality seafood for what I am paying. It does not meet my expectations.
Miss Joan and the fantastic team at Shiro Sushi are incredibly welcoming and eager to provide exceptional service. Even though I am not local, I work nearby and feel completely at home in their inviting atmosphere. This is now my top choice for Sushi or Hibachi!
Great place. Authentic vibe, the chirashi bowl was delicious, and the owner is extremely nice. He was very sweet with our infant son and welcoming to us.
Let me start by saying, I don’t ever write negative reviews. This place has below average sushi for above average prices…but we know the owners to be an older couple so we wanted to support their business all throughout the pandemic so we ordered to-goalmost every week. Today was the worst experience I’ve had dining in for the 2nd ever! When we came inside, the owners andsushi makers were all arguing about sushi orders, loudly. Ok! I got a hand roll, it came on a holder. My 2 year old got aholdof the holder, banged it on the table. The top part came off. I looked at it and the 2 pieces snapped back into place. Sushimakers asked me to hand it to them laughing and saying it happens. When it was time to leave, they charged us $15 for theholder, saying it was broken. They said it was broken because I failed to stop my child. She said she was giving me a discountbecause it costs $25 normally! It was an old dingy holder!!! I’ve been in the restaurant industry for many years and haveworked for many different restaurants. Plates, glasses even utensils get broken and it is built into the prices of the food. Ihave never seen an establishment ask a customer to pay for a broken plate. I refused to pay for it, she decided not to charge usbut only after much protest. After we paid, the owner quickly stormed over to us and grabbed the guest check book and looked tosee if I had tipped. I had left 20% because it was for the server not the owners. She proceeded to thank me. I heard them say,“They are (said country we are from),” earlier which had made me upset because why does my country of origin matter tothem? We had to ask for sushi ginger 3 times because they only gave a little bit at a time. They refused to give us the saladwhich is supposed to come with the food until we asked for it. Their rolls are tiny and have always been. I knew they werestingy with everything, the ingredients, sides, sauces, but today it was stingy and money hungry to another level! Don’
My sister and five of her friends had lunch at this restaurant. They attempted to order the lunch special hibachi, but the owner declined to serve it cooked on the hibachi. Instead, the food was prepared in the kitchen and they were still charged the full price. Since they are high school seniors, they did not order from the kids menu and were specifically requesting the lunch special hibachi from the adult menu. Additionally, they received very small portions of food. This experience was rude, unfair, and frustrating, ultimately leaving them very disappointed.
