Restaurant Barbies Charlemagne

The food is incredibly good! Staff is kind and the first in a while that would actually speak english to us! Since were from the netherlands! They helped is trough the menu and had great tips for wich to choose! They have these great small kinds menus wich includes a drink, a meal and a dessert (vanilla icecream or oreo). We had the ny steak and some salad and great soup! Dessert are almost all with chocolat and or cheese cake and tastes great!! If we ever come around here again we will defently eat here again!

The waiters and waitresses are super, great quick friendly service! Food is really good and good size portions! Fun for great time with family or friends!

We ordered the smoked meat that came with cole slaw, pickle and poutine. Everything was lukewarm to cold! The cole slaw was liquidy?? Pickle was not fresh....the waiter asked if he wanted us to "reheat" the smoked meat.......LOLOLOL!!!! Wasn't it just made?? We should have just upped and left...ate the smoked meat which was made of paper thin slices - tasted packaged and not freshly smoked!! 2nd time eating there (first time should have made me not want to return but we gave it a try) and last time!!

I'm a student in the state of Vermont and travel to Montreal on weekends often for a change of scenery, language and culture. For dinner my friends and I decided to try Barbies over hearing someone state its similar to Fridays restaurant back in America. I ordered the rib special a full rack for 17 Canadian dollars. and I added five shrimp for five Canadian to my meal. Soup, fries and coleslaw came with my meal. The soup was a cream soup with rice, red and green peppers. Not very good. The ribs weren't all that either, they were soft and meaty, but the sauce just wasn't hitting the spot. The fries were pretty good. BUT let me tell you about the five shrimp that I devoured. Well shared one with my friend and regretted it so much. They were so well seasoned and the butter sauce was heavenly. It was the best shrimp I have ever tasted and I wanted to order it five more times, but I didn't want to be greedy. They were mouth watering and amazing. The service was good the ambiance was great. Its a great restaurant, but the shrimp was the highlight and I recommend it to the WORLD.

Anyone who comes to Blois should visit this boulangerie/patisserie.
