The hospitality was delightful, as we were greeted with a glass of white wine as soon as we sat down. The drinks menu consisted solely of wine and water (thankfully!), and Maurice shared with us stories of visiting winemakers in 1949 with his father and how they built this wine showcase. In the 80s, they expanded to include a restaurant. The food was delicious, and we were treated to tasting 9 different wines by the owner. For wine enthusiasts, this place is a must-visit.
This restaurant is a sanctuary for wine enthusiasts. We spent from 1:00 to 5:20 chatting with the owner, his father Maurice, who now oversees the family business. The warm welcome includes a glass of white wine upon seating, and the menu consists of only wine and water (praise be!). Maurice (the elder) shared with us how his father took him to Burgundy in 1949 to meet Givry producers and other winemakers, leading to the establishment of this wine haven. In the 80s, they expanded to include a wine shop in the garden. We enjoyed a delicious meal, complete with a tasting of 9 wines guided by the owner. For wine lovers, this place is a must-visit.
This restaurant is like a sanctuary for wine lovers. We sat and chatted with the owner, Maurice, and his father from 1:00 to 5:20. The welcome was warm, with a glass of white wine offered as soon as we sat down. The drinks menu consists only of wine and water, which is a relief. Maurice shared with us the story of how his father introduced him to winemakers in the village in 1949, leading to the creation of their wine shop in the 1980s. We indulged in a tasting of 9 wines, expertly curated by Maurice. For anyone who enjoys wine, this place is a must-visit.
What about the kindness of stone and her dad, nothing is legendary, what to say about their oenological knowledge, nothing is immense without being pumpy, and the kitchen in all this? very good, simply, refilled card frequently, without chichis, of very good quality.
The place is a temple of wine. We talked about with stone, the boss, and his father, maurice, who took over his father's family business to him. the welcome is charming, you are served a glass of white as soon as you sit, and the map of the drinks has only wine and water (halleluyah! maurice (the senior,) told us how his father took him to the village to meet producers of givry and other winemakers and how they have, in the years created this wine store with, at the back, a close-secret dining room. We ate well and stone made us taste wines!!!! for the wine lover, this place is worth the detour, absolutely.
