I love going to Captain Billy’s they have the Best crab cakes around.
We will not be returning!!! Our server, Sally, was rude! I have a gluten allergy when I asked if a particular item was gluten free, she shrugged her shoulders, told us she had no clue, walked away. You're in the food industry should know these things or at least offer to find out. On the menu it says if you have an allergy issue to ask your server. This was my main priority as having food allergies can be detrimental. She continued to be rude through our full meal. The only time she was pleasant was when she brought the check. Here it is the next day I find an additional 20% added to my card. I tipped in cash as I feel it's redundant for service workers to be taxed on tips. I do a little research, find in small print, that a 20% gratuity will be added to amounts over $200 (yep we spent $264) OR parties over 6 people (there were 4 of us). So I guess it gave Sally the right to be rude through the whole service because she knew our bill was going to be high she still would make her tip money...this woman made close to $100 off of me because of a gratuity policy...I should've read the fine print, that's my fault, and if it was busy or the service was excellent I would not be complaining. She had around 5 tables while other servers had double the load. I'm in the service industry myself so I understand the stress involved with customer service. Educate your servers in food allergies proper customer service etiquette.
