The best Italian restaurant in Charles Town. Whether for dinner, birthday, vacation or special occasion La Mezzuluna Cafe is by far a top choice for me and my family. Daily specials are always fantastic. Salad and garlic knots come with every meal and the knots are to die! Quality homemade Italian food best. The dessert menu is just as good if not better. Friendly and personal staff with plenty of space in the restaurant for small or large parties.

This is a hidden gem. Don't miss it. The food is freshly prepared for order. Beautiful salad and garlic knots are automatic with a duck, my husband had flounder and I had salmon pescatore. We requested vegetables instead of pasta and were served freshly smoked artichokes, garlic, onions and broccoli-Medleys. Our server was pleasant and helpful. After traveling to Italy and Rome, we are very pleased to have an authentic Italian restaurant in Charlestown!

I was surprised that most Italian restaurants in our area are disappointed, but the Shrimp Fradivolo was amazing!!! Beautiful surroundings too. I would definitely recommend this place!!!!

Loves this little jewel of an Italian restaurant. My favorite is the Auberginenparmagana. However, last visit (last week) the Caesar salad tasted like a hybrid with garden salad.

La Mezzuluna definitely tops most other restaurants in the greater Charles Town area. The food is higher-quality with orders having large serving portions. However, despite quality and serving size, the prices are a bit steep. As an Italian restaurant, its options for vegetarians is surprisingly limited too. The restaurant itself is small and cozy with nice decorations that help establish itself as a dine-in option that is slightly above casual. Ordering to-go is easy, yet because of how small the building is in addition to the narrow hallway entrance, seating of any kind for those needing to wait is not available.
