Golden City - Charnwood

I'm sorry to say that the food was disappointing. The delivery was friendly but arrived later than expected. The pad Thai noodles were clumped together and overly spicy. The soup lacked flavor and barely had any chicken or noodles. The chips were soggy and the prawn crackers appeared old and tough. Unfortunately, I will not be ordering from this restaurant again, despite the appealing menu.

I ordered curry sauce with my chips but it was forgotten, and when I called, they said the driver had already gone home so they couldn't deliver it. The packaging was oily and the beef chow mein was greasy and the beef was undercooked. The chips were also greasy and seemed old.

I ordered one item; salt and pepper chicken wings. Just ONE dish. Honestly the worst chicken wings I’ve ever tasted. Completely bland and oddly tasted of onions as there were more onions in the pot than wings. I could have made much better myself at home. They literally had one job and couldn’t get that right. Will never be ordering again.

I had a decent experience with the takeaway from this restaurant. The fried rice was a bit bland and not fully cooked, while the chicken balls were undercooked and slightly pink in the center. However, the beef was delicious and the king prawns were fantastic. I will consider returning to try other dishes on the menu.

Whether ordering in person or online, the Golden City provide a quick service, and delicious food. We've been customers for many years.
