Courtepaille Chartres

This is a convenient all-day grill restaurant with parking. We were very kindly received and the service was perfect. A small complementary salad to start, we continued then with different pieces of meat, a mix-grill skewer and a veal steak. Everything was cooked to perfection, it has been a long time since we enjoyed such a nice piece of meat. We didn't enjoy that much the deserts, they seemed very industrial and maybe de-frozen but it is typical in this kind of restaurants so we didn't care that much. We will go back soon for the grill, this is sure.

Very good steak, served fairly quickly, was given an English menu, all the food was very good, clean place with friendly service never used this chain of steak house but I definitely would again. ample parking and good location for Hotel inn resto around the corner.

Stayed at Ibis across the road just had to walk across the dual carriageway, so look the right way. When we got there we were greeted by very friendly staff joking etc waiter was really good with my 4 teenagers . Food came quickly and was very good, burgers and steaks all round. We had drinks and a couple of chocolate mousses a beer and a bottle of wine for 150 Euro ( 6 people ) we were not rushed to pay and could have stayed longer if we were not so tired. Great first evening in France.

The staff here were very helpful and pleasant. The restaurant was quite busy for a weekday which gave the place a good atmosphere. Prices were reasonable, quality of food was very good, well cooked, menu had a good choice of meals not just standard burgers and chips. We have visited this chain of restaurants before when travelling through France and can say that the Chartres branch gave us the best quality of food and service we have had from the chain.

After being let down by our hotel we had to find an alternative. We ended up at Courtepaille and had a pleasant evening for 50 euros. That was main course, sweet & coffees for 2.
