Cc's Chicken N' Waffles - Chatan

I love, love, love CCs Chicken and Waffles! For my DMV area peeps, Glady’s Chicken and Waffles has nothing on CC’s Chicken and Waffles. The homemade syrup is like nothing you’ve ever tasted. It’s awesome all by itself. The chicken is juicy and crispy but not burnt. Conveniently located by the sea wall, don’t forget to check out CC’s when you are in Okinawa, Japan! #thecantysmithstravel

1/2023 Chicken, waffles, syrup, very good Buffalo wings, great. Mac n cheese, eh. The day we went it was quite cluttered inside, so… not a nice ambience type of place. But again, food was good.

This place was recommended by a friend so we had to try it. The chicken and waffles were good. The mac and cheese was okay definitely tasted more like box/powder cheese and not homemade. The customer service was not great and far from the Japanese hospitality. Also make sure you pay in yen and don't use a credit card because you will be charged an exchange rate fee. I have lived in Japan for a while and have NEVER had to pay this fee before. Oh and the parking situation is not very ideal.

If you are looking for typical Japanese or Okinawan customer service and respect please skip this restaurant. You will get typical American service, entitlement, attitude, lack luster food and disrespect. The owner is very rude and so were the rest of the staff working the day we went in. The food took forever to come out and then was cold. Definitely not a friendly or welcoming environment. The attitude the owner has comes across that he doesn't care about customers and figures who cares if that customer is happy, plenty of Americans to come in and waste their money. Even when people leave reviews here the owner is nasty with his responses. It's just uncalled for. If your food and service lacked and a customer had a poor experience then take accountability and do better or choose to stay the same, which is clearly what he/they do. Not that the owner would care but my family and I will definitely never go back and I will never recommend the restaurant to anyone, in fact I will tell people to avoid. I hope they can do a better job with how they treat customers.

The fam and I have been on island for some time now and we all can honestly and humbly say this spot is and has been a really great brunch eatery. The bacon waffle with bananas and chicken is the one that really has me specifically coming back. Honestly the entire menu is really good and this place is more of a plus because it’s near the Kadena sea wall. Great food, great staff, great scenery, nothing better than that.
