Hungry Man - Chatham

My sister and I went to The Hungry Man restaurant for breakfast the other day. She had been a dew times before and said it was good.The place is an standard breakfast joint in terms of atmosphere and aesthetic appeal here in Chatham-Kent. Very simple and to the point.The service was not amazing but not terrible either. Considering it was not that busy, I was somewhat "dumbfounded" as to why the waitress asked us 3x if we were ready to order (we were) yet continued to serve other customers before us. Perhaps they are regulars, who knows.Regardless, the food came super quickly and the chef himself brought ours out to us!We were very impressed and it was tasty for a standard bacon and eggs with toast and hash browns. Overall, is your looking for a tasty breakfast joint, I would recommend this place.

This restaurant has really good food. The food is hot whaen it arrives at your table. The prices are in the medium range. Always a very busy place. Additional parking at the back of building.Restaurant is clean. Staff are very prompt.

There fish and chips very large portions and very good Best coleslaw in town. Always fresh Not a fancy restaurant but food always good Priced reasonably Had a seafood buffet but didn't have but it looked good

We went for the first and only time for the Sunday Brunch Buffet because of good reviews on here. This was a Huge mistake. My family ( Wife and 3 Kids ) all got the buffet. Buffet cost was 13.45 per adult, and 7.95 per kid. I thought the price was reasonable...until I realized that out of the nearly full restaurant, we were the ONLY table eating from the Buffet!! I soon found out why: The Pancakes and French Toast were quite literally cardboard. The bacon was way undercooked. The Scrambled eggs were the consistency of playdough with big black chunks in it. etc... All the food was stupendously Awful. I do no think if someone was trying to make nastier food on purpose that they could beat this ****. I soon realized that everybody else was buying the "Breakfast Special" for a third of the price of the buffet. This might be better food, and is cheaper for sure. However, my family will never know after them charging us nearly $80.00 for one the worst meals we have ever had.

The $4.99 breakfast is plentiful! I ordered a side of peameal and well barely could finish main meal. Coffee was excellent. One of the better cups I've had in my travels. Next I'm sticking with just the main breakfast :). See pics
