Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill

The service is slow, less than friendly most of the time and the portions inconsistent. Unfortunately we really like the food of Swiss Chalet and this is our only choice of location in Chatham-Kent.

I will never visit Swiss Chalet again, and I hope you won't either. It was my birthday and even though I had sworn to never support them again, I decided to order Swiss Chalet for our family meal because my wife loves their chicken. However, when my son went to pick up our order at the scheduled time, 12:20, the restaurant was closed. I called the call center to inquire about this mistake, but received a weak explanation and a half-hearted apology. When I mentioned that we would never give them another dollar, they asked if I wanted to cancel the order. Seriously? Did they even listen to what I said? It's no surprise that this company is struggling. Proceed with caution if you decide to dine there, and don't expect much.

I recently went to this restaurant for a festive dinner and had to stand for half an hour because they had removed the seats in the waiting area. Several people who had ordered online came in, but their orders were not ready. After waiting for 20 minutes, the drive-thru customers also experienced delays in service. Despite the long waiting times, I must say that the festive food I ordered was really good. The overall quality of the food here is great, but be prepared to wait up to two hours for your order. Patience is definitely required at this establishment!

My husband and I went to the Swiss chalet in Chatham. He ordered the festive meal and I ordered the hot chicken sandwich with salad for one side. Unfortunately, the waitress brought the salad and the hot chicken sandwich at the same time. I started eating my salad and realized that my hot chicken wasn't hot anymore. so I ate the meal first and then the salad (which was good). I suggest that they bring the salad before the meal so that the meal itself does not get cold.

Finally restitution to a bad experience! We had an unpleasant experience ordering through their call centre, which lead to ruining our evening. We finally decided to call the restaurant directly feeling that it was right to let them know how their call centre was representing...them. Upon doing so, we were more than pleasantly treated as patron customers should be treated. The Manager, Tracey Nevin handled and dealt with us directly. We were addressed with a sincere apology and compensated beyond our expectations. Our faith in Swiss Chalet has been restored.
