Trust him to match your expectations, because he has never let us down. No doubt about it, this IS the best coffee in Chatswood.Their breakfast specials are also good value. The cakes are fresh, due to the high patronage.I do not recommend their poached eggs but all other eggs are fine.
Totally enjoyed my breakfast (omelette). Will definitely come again when next in Sydney. Oh and as a non-coffee drinker, thoroughly enjoyed my weak mocha (yes weak on the coffee).
I like this cafe for convenience, quick service if you just want a coffee and run, or if you want to sit down for lunch. Food options and menu do change, and its always filled with mid-range options. I've always found the food taste good and never been disappointed. Service can at times be slow on the tables, but big thumbs up for how quick they can get a coffee out the door.
Wow, this place so disappointing. My boyfriend and I came during Valentine's Day and we were so disappointed by our meal. After sitting there waiting for about half an hour for our food, it came to our table completely cold and soggy (except the onion rings which were boiling hot. Obviously they left the food unheated while they prepared the onion rings.) We both tried the frappe's and they tasted absolutely horrible - the syrup tasted insanely fake, and I cannot understand why we paid $7 for ice and blended syrup. Fair to say we ate (not even) half our meal and left because it was that terrible.
Not fancy, not overly special but good hearty breakfast and good coffee (Toby's) with prompt polite service. Though I do wish cafes would rediscover plates... having poached eggs on a "plank" can be a very messy business.
