We also got Thai Milk Teas and a couple of Roasted Rice Teas. The food we received was decent overall. The Panang Curry was a bit light in texture, but the flavor was excellent and the duck was cooked well. The Pad Thai was standard, and the Pad Prik Sod was alright, but I might try it with a meat option next time. The Thai Milk Tea was good, but not exceptional. I appreciated that they offered Roasted Rice Tea, even though it's not traditionally Thai. We ended up paying just over $20 per person, which I thought was reasonable. I would recommend this place if you are nearby, but it's not worth traveling far for. The staff were accommodating and added to the enjoyable experience.
I had a wonderful Thai dinner at Imm Aun, starting off with devil's wings and curry puffs as appetizers. For the main course, I enjoyed Panang pork curry and spicy fried seafood rice. The curry was perfectly seasoned and had a fragrant aroma from the kaffir lime leaves. The seafood rice was not overly fishy, which is often a problem in other places. This was my second visit to Imm Aun, and I still love their simple yet delicious Thai food.
Passed this restaurant quite a few times and it's always looked full. I made a booking for Thursday evening last week and was surprised that the restaurant was so quiet! The lady at the counter was very friendly and helpful with the menu. My friends and I ended up ordering the Panang Curry with Roasted Duck, Chicken Pad Thai and Veggie and Tofu Pad Prik Sod. We also ordered Thai Milk Teas and a couple of Roasted Rice Teas. All the food that came out was pretty decent, the Panang Curry was a little light in texture, but the flavour was great and the duck was also cooked well. The Pad Thai was pretty standard. The Pad Prik Sod was okay, but I might try it with a meat option next time to see if it's any better. The Thai Milk Tea was pretty good, but nothing special. I quite liked how they had Roasted Rice Tea on the menu.. even though it's not exactly a Thai thing. We ended up paying just over per person which I found to be very decent! I'd recommend if you're close by, but it's nothing to travel far for. The staff are also very accommodating which added to the very enjoyable experience.
Pretty average quality Thai. Got some takeaway for dinner, order the Roast Duck Salad a Mixed Seafood Pad Kee Mao. They also gave us some prawn crackers which was a positive, but that's where the positive ends. The Roast Duck salad, is meant to be served with mixed leaves, there were no leaves that I can see, there were few strands of carrots cabbage. The duck was also in very small strips and mostly fat skin with not much meat. The noodles in the pad kee mao were so broken they were more in bits rather then noodles Overall not that enjoyable.
