Sushi-ya Chatswood

Just ordered the salted salmon belly which was really nice. Part of their new specials menu, it’s got a nice charred skin and smoky taste. Love it!

It's been a little while since I've been here, a bit further down the road from the main Chatswood strip, so really not that convenient unless you actually lives in the vicinity. Surprised to see the recent reviews to be a bit average, my previous experiences had been positive. I stopped by for lunch on Sunday, it was quite with only a few other tables filled. The sashimi lunch set was not bad for under $20. Quality of the sashimi were good. Will return if in the vicinity.

My first dinner of my staycation would be at Sushi-Ya. Sushi-Ya is a new favorite, simply for it’s fine balance between quality, price and service. Quality is top-notch, while prices aren’t dirt cheap, but not exorbitant either, and service is typical of most Japanese restaurants (run by Japanese) quick and cheerful.

If you’re after some nice sushi for a casual lunch in Chatswood, I do recommend you try Sushi-Ya.

Delicious local haunt. We love sushi ya chatswood. It's our regular Friday night haunt. We have been to Japan several times and this food is fresh and authentic. We always order the tataki beef with special sauce and the salmon aburi. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.
